Agricultural Fencing

Stock Fencing

This type of fencing can vary in height and strength specification depending on what livestock is to be kept in the field. It usually consists of intermediate and strainer posts. Wire mesh is attached to the posts with normally one or two strands of plain or barbed wire as a jump line on top. All of this wire is then pulled up tight using specialist machinery to create a very tight and straight fence which will look great and need very little maintenance.

Rabbit Fencing

There has been a high increase in the demand for this type of fencing. It consists of strainer posts and intermediate posts driven into the ground. Added to this are two strands of high tensile wire at 3ft and 1ft high. Using our specialist hydraulic netting trencher we then plough an 8 inch deep furrow along the fence line. Netting is then clipped onto the top wire and then layed into the trench. This is then buried and compressed using an excavator. The additional wire ensures the netting stays strong and taut. All materials used are of the highest standard and posts come with a 25 year guarantee.

Plain and Barbed Wire Fencing

This type of fencing is ideal for keeping in cattle. It is similar to stock fencing but instead of netting, four or five strands of wire are used. This fencing is popular because it looks good and is a cost effective solution.

Post and Rail

This is the most conventional fence. Consisting of posts driven into the ground with either two or three spanning rails. These days most people go for three rails and we prefer this approach as two rails can make the fence quite top heavy. The posts that are used are of the highest quality and come with a 15 year guarentee as standard.

Stud Fencing

This fence consists of post and rai as above. Added to this is the latest equine safe netting from Tornado which consists of graduated squares up to a height of 1.2m. This netting does not splinter like lesser grade wires. A top rail is then added to make the fence clearly visible to the horses and acting as a deterrent to attempt jumping. This style of fencing is suitable for for all horses from foals to stallions, enabling them to graze safely. All the posts are fully treated and come with manufacturers guarantee.
